SUPPORT CREW GUIDE
SUMMER EDITION
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon welcomes support crews and spectators throughout the race and course. However, you don’t want to be the reason your runners gets disqualified or a time penalty. To avoid this, please follow all of the following support crew race rules:
Support crews can only assist their runners within aid station boundaries
Cheering is allowed anywhere on course, but no assistance is allowed outside of aid stations
Assistance includes giving nutrition, filling bottles, passing gear, or any other items
Pacing is not allowed. Running with your runner for more than 200 metres counts as pacing
Any runner receiving outside support or pacing may be disqualified or given a time penalty
To track your runners progress, we can use the link below. For accurate tracking, we recommend they share their location on their phone.

RECOMMENDED SPECTATOR SPOTS:
Seville Reserve: This is the perfect place to cheer on your runners early on in the Sydney Trail Half Marathon, Summer Edition. Runners exit the bush (green arrow) and run along the footpath found on Plymouth Avenue, North Rocks (pink arrow) before entering back into the bush.
Distance Into Race: 5KMs
Driving Time From Race Hub: 10 mins
Timing Point: Seville Reserve (if your runner has passed this timing point before you arrive, you won’t see them)
SPOT ON COURSE
Lindisfarne Turnaround: This is inside of Hunts Creek Reserve is the furthest point on course and just over halfway into the race.
You will park on Lindisfarne Cres, Carlingford, and walk ~50 metres into the bush. This is a great place to cheer on your runner.

WALK DOWN
Aid Station: The only aid station at the Sydney Trail Half Marathon, Summer Edition, is found along Northam Drive, North Rocks.
Runners pass the aid station twice, once at 10 KMs and once at 14.5 KMs. You are able to give personal aid to your runner at the aid station. Runners will be running on the footpath the entire time.

AID STATION HERE
SUPPORT CREW RECOMMENDATION:
In order to cheer on your runner throughout the event at various points, we recommend that you follow the plan outlined below:
Start of Race, Lake Parramatta Reserve: 6:30 AM
5 KMs Into Race, Seville Reserve: 10 min drive from Lake Parramatta (factor in walking to car)
10 KMs Into Race, Aid Station: 4 min drive from Seville
12 KMs Into Race, Lindisfarne Turnaround: 4 min drive from Aid Station
14.5 KMs Into Race, Aid Station: 4 min drive from Lindisfarne
21.1 KMs Into Race: Lake Parramatta Reserve - 8 min drive from Aid Station
Important Notes:
Please follow all road rules and do not speed between checkpoints.
You can use the live results page to track your runner. For best accuracy, use location services.
GETTING TO THE RACE AND PARKING
There is a large grass field found near the Lake Parramatta entrance that is open for parking.
There is also plenty of parking in the surrounding streets outside of Lake Parramatta. Some of the closest parking can be found at the following streets; Bourke Street, Iron Street, Brown Street, Byrnes Street, Gloucester Avenue and surrounds.
The race starts and finishes inside of Lake Parramatta near the cafe.
Runners and specators will be unable to park inside of Lake Parramatta.
