On Saturday, October 18th, 2025, get ready to light up the trails at the Sydney Trail Half Marathon Night Edition, presented by 180 Cadence

This unique night race starts at sunset at Golden Jubilee Field and finishes at St Ives Showground, taking you on a 21 km journey through the dark beauty of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. With 556 metres of elevation gain, the course features flowing single tracks, technical climbs, fire trails, and hidden gems that come alive under a head torch

This is a point-to-point course built for an amazing trail running experience. Expect quiet bushland, fast descents, waterfront trails, and a finish line under the stars

MANDATORY GEAR

The Sydney Trail Half Marathon course traverses trails where it might take some time for medical and support services to reach you, therefore it is essential that every athlete carry their mandatory gear at all times.

STHM is also a cupless event. Athletes are required to carry their own drinking cup, bottle, flask or hydration vest which can be used at the aid stations.

MANDATORY GEAR LIST

  • This is a night trail run and it is mandatory that you have a head torch (waist torches & handheld torches are excepted) that can illuminate your way.

    You will be unable to start the race without a head torch.

    Your phone can not be used as your torch.

  • Must be fully charged with a live SIM card capable of making calls and accessing the internet.

  • This can be in the form of 1 × 500ml running flasks, a bladder or normal water bottles.

    Please note that STHM is a cupless event.
